Role Playing

We, the members of the Sisterhood of the Cheese Fries, believe that heroism isn’t just about swinging swords and slinging spells, it’s about embodying your character and forging meaningful moments for your fellow players. As such, You will be rewarded for exceptional role playing.

Here’s how you can earn XP this way:

Meeting Character Goals

Accomplish your character’s personal goals and objectives. Whether it’s finding a lost heirloom, confronting a long-time rival, pursuing your character’s desires, or avenging your parents’ death, pursuing your character’s desires will be rewarded.

Unique Actions and Solutions

Solve problems and navigate solutions in a way that truly reflects your character’s unique personality, skills, and background. Think outside the box and let your character’s individuality shine.

Nonviolent Problem Solving

Find creative solutions to challenges without resorting to brute force, unnecessary destruction, or the impulsive killing/injury of NPCs. Diplomacy, trickery, and clever thinking are highly valued. As are actions and conversations that showcase your character’s unique approach to life.

Selfless Actions

Momentarily put aside your character’s established motivations, traits, and skills to assist other characters (PC or NPC) in achieving their goals because your character values them.

Consistent Character Decisions

Make choices that align with your character’s established backgrounds, personality, virtues, and flaws. Consistency in roleplaying demonstrates a deep understanding of your character and how they interact with the world around them.

Meaningful Sacrifices

Act against your own motivations and goals to provide meaningful and necessary aid to others. Sacrificing personal gain for the greater good is a true act of heroism.

Grand, Heroic Acts

Perform grand, heroic acts that significantly impact the world around you, such as saving a village from imminent destruction. This act of service earns extra XP and some other bonuses.

Memory Tally

To ensure that everyone is on the same page and that important events and details aren’t forgotten, the party will share their memories from the last session at the start of the new session. This encourages collaborative recall and ensures that everyone, even those who are new to the table or have missed a session, is fully immersed in our ongoing adventure.

Here’s how it works:

Collaborative Recall

At the beginning of the session, players will collaboratively recount the significant events and other details they remember of the previous session. This is a shared effort, with everyone contributing their memories and individual perspectives. The goal is to create an accurate recap for the entire group.

Memory Count

The DM will then count the total number of distinct memories shared by the players. This count directly translates to the amount of XP awarded at the current session.

Equal XP Award

Every player present at the current session receives the same amount of XP awarded from the memory count. This ensures that everyone benefits from the shared effort of remembering and recounting the adventure, even those who were not at the table in the last session.

Actively Engaging with the Game

In the Sisterhood of the Cheese Fries, we believe that adventure is built on active participation and engagement with the game. You will gain experience points for diving deep into the game, both at and away from the table, ensuring that your character and the story flourish.

Here’s how you can earn XP through active engagement:

Meeting Game Goals

Successfully completing objectives, overcoming challenges, and advancing the main story arc will earn you XP. Your dedication to the campaign’s overarching narrative is valued.

Completing Side Quests

Embark on and successfully conclude side quests. These adventures add depth to the world, provide unique opportunities for character development, and reward your dedication to exploring the realms.

Meaningful NPC Interactions

Engage with NPCs beyond simple transactional conversations. Build relationships, gather information, and bring to the world to life. Your interactions should add depth and flavor to the story.

Character Development, In and Out of Game

Develop your character’s backstory, personality, and goals, both during sessions and through thoughtful interactions with the DM. Proactively reaching out to the DM with ideas on how to explore character paths and story connections demonstrates a strong commitment to your character’s growth.

Growing Your Role Playing Abilities

Improve your roleplaying by exploring your character’s motivations, actions, and words. This doesn’t mean you have to be a great actor, rather that you are bringing your character to life through your actions and dialogues.

Party Cohesion

Actively working to resolve player conflicts and maintain healthy dynamics with people at the table. Your efforts to keep the Sisterhood united are essential for a successful campaign and strong friendships.

Grand, Heroic Acts

Perform grand, heroic acts that significantly impact the world around you, such as saving a village from imminent destruction. This act of service earns extra XP and some other bonuses.

Player Nominated XP

The Sisterhood of the Cheese Fries is built on camaraderie and mutual appreciation. Recognizing and celebrating each other’s contributions is just as important as the DM’s awards. Therefore, you are encouraged to nominate your fellow players for XP.

Recognize Outstanding Engagement

If you observe another player demonstrating any of the above and feel their efforts deserve recognition, you may nominate them for XP.

Justify Your Nomination

When nominating a player, share with them (and the DM) why you value their contribution. Tell them what resonated with you, how their actions enhanced the game, or how their roleplaying brought their character or the world to life. This is your chance to shine a light on their awesome moments and express your appreciation.

Approval from the DM

The DM will review your nomination and the contributions the player made to the game, then award points accordingly.
